Using The Jewish Chronicle ePaper
Using The Jewish Chronicle ePaper is easy and enjoyable. The front page of the most recent issue is available without registration.
However, to access any pages beyond the front cover, you will be required to sign in. Please note that most of the features
described here also require that you are signed in before they are available for your use.
Select the latest issue - the first page will now be displayed in the main window. The Toolbar on the bottom of the page provides
the interface for viewing thumbnails of each page in the section, and for quickly jumping to a new page.

- You can click anywhere on the page without text.

You can left-click and hold the mouse-down and draw a dotted circle around the area you wish to magnify. This will lasoo the area
for enlargement, opening up a magnified window, in which the desired section has been enlarged. You can drag this box to your
liking and increase it in size by dragging its borders. To enlarge this box, click the maximize icon. To close it, click the close
icon.

To print the full page of a publication, open the graphical view of the page you want to print.
Click on the Print
icon on the toolbar below the page. This will open a dialogue box where you can select the left or right page, paper size and margins. Once you have made your selections, just click the Print button to open the standard print dialogue box for your system. Then select your printer preferences and click on Print to send the page to the printer.
For publications that support Smart Navigation features (distinguished by
), you can print individual articles or puzzles.
To print a single article, open the article in text view by clicking on its title and then click on the Print
icon in the top toolbar of the text window (If you click on the bottom Print icon, the full page will be printed as a default).
To print a crossword or other puzzle, click the title of the Puzzle (e.g. “crossword”, “codeword”, “sudoku”, etc.) and a window will open which includes an image of the puzzle. Click on that image to open it in its own browser window. Print from this new window using your browser options.
Note, you can also choose to print articles and pages to Adobe PDF if your system supports that feature. This is a good way to save individual articles and pages on your computer.

Simply click on 'All thumbnails' on the right frame or the bottom toolbar to see all of the thumbnails for the particular
publication title in the main window.

You can increase or decrease font size within the magnifying lens by simply clicking on a desired level on the zoom scale in the
Toolbar on the bottom of the page to reload it with a new font setting.

You can select the desired newspaper view based on your preference. To toggle between these options, please click on

in the Toolbar on the bottom of the page.
To move to a new page click the respective icon
in the Toolbar on the bottom of the page. When you
select a new page, the main window is updated with the selected page.

The Jewish Chronicle ePaper Bookmark allows you to save a particular newspaper page (or spread) for later reference, and which you can
email it to yourself, your friends, family or colleagues. To create one, click on
in the Toolbar on the bottom
of the page. You can save this page for as long as you'd like under your personal profile. You can manage and email Bookmarks by
selecting 'Bookmarks' tab on the right side of the screen or by selecting 'My Bookmarks' from the 'My Services' drop-down on the
top-toolbar.

This is one of the great advantages of digital newspaper reading experience. The Jewish Chronicle ePaper provides a search function which
will aid you in your quest. After signing in, open the publication you want to read, and enter the keyword that you want to search
for by selecting the Search tab on the right side of the screen. After the search is completed, The Jewish Chronicle ePaper will present
thumbnails of the pages that contain your search, indicate the number of times the searched word has been mentioned on that page,
and highlight this word on the page for easy reference.

With The Jewish Chronicle ePaper, you can access not just today's issue, but read a few back issues as well (depending on the subscription plan).
Select the section you would like to read, and then in the top toolbar mouseover the date of the publication to open up a calendar
function. A floating calendar will appear, showing the dates for which The Jewish Chronicle ePaper is available to you. Select the desired
date and it will start taking you back in time.

All available sections and supplements, which have been published on the particular date, are accessible via the Table of Contents to the right of the front page or in the navigation tool bar above the front page by scrolling down the Table of Contents entries.
To access available sections supplements, which were published in the past, please follow the steps below:
- Select current issue
- From the calendar select the desired date, when the section or supplement was published
- The Table of Contents will display sections or supplements available for that particular date
- Click on the Front Page or other listed page of the section or supplement and it will load in the reading pane
You can download a desired section for offline reading using the PressReader. To install the PressReader or to download the newspaper
after the PressReader has been installed, please click on
in the Toolbar on the bottom of the page.

To listen to a newspaper on your computer, just click on the speaker icon
to activate Interactive Radio which automatically starts reading the current article to you and gives you the option of filtering your play list or listening to other articles in this issue.
You can even listen to the article in a different language, just translate the article first in text view, and then click on the speaker icon to have it read to you in the new language.
If you want to listen to a newspaper on your smart mobile phone, find the paper you want to listen to through the mobile radio page and copy its URL into your media player on your device. The same URL will work every day as new issues of that paper are released so you only have to copy it once.
